TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Application for admission is merely a request for enrollment of the student. It becomes binding upon the parties only when the student has been formally accepted by receiving and accepting payment of deposit, financial arrangments, and the signed Application.
It it hereby understood that the student will conform to the Rules and Regulations of the Merle L. Levine Academy Inc. (herein referred to as The School) as modified from time to time by the Director (see annual handbook particulars). The School reserves the right:
- To exclude any student permanently or temporarily at any time if its administration deems such action as advisable either in the interest of the pupil or for the good of the School.
- For the placement of each student as regards to location, grade and class.
- To suspend any student temporarily for any cause.
The School's Withdrawal or Removal Policy is as follows: If a student is Withdrawn from The School, or if the Director finds it necessary to request the student's removal from The School, for cause, after the school year has begun, then those persons who signed the Admission Application are responsible for the payment of ALL outstanding balance of fees and charges for the balance of the school year.
It is hereby agreed and understood that the student is under The School's direction and responsibility in the undermentioned circumstances only:
- while the student is on The School's premises between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday
- while the student is in class or engaged in activities supervised by The School outside the premises during the period specified for the particular activity.
In order that the student may participate in activities (curricular and extra-curricular the parent(s)/guardian(s) of the student hereby undertake to complete and return to The School a form of permission provided by The School prior to the activity.
FEES: There is a Basic Annual Fee. Additional services will be charged separately. Any additional services will be discussed and agreed upon between the parent(s), guardian(s) and/or adult client and The School.
Fees for the school year are to be settled as per the agreement form. Fees are subject to change annually.
Fees for students joining The School's program during the year are subject to the same non-refundable deposit, however, the Tuition Fees will be prorated from the time of the admission for the balance of the school year.
The fees for the school year do NOT Include charges for transportation, lunches, and trips. *** Nor does it include any specialist or any special program. Separate financial arrangements will be required for such services.
